Our story

Why “Toad Hall Flowers”? Our name is rooted in the pages of the 1908 novel by Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows, where Toad Hall is described as a place of charm, character, and beauty.

Arriving within sight of his old home, he rested on his oars and surveyed the land cautiously. All seemed very peaceful and deserted and quiet. He could see the whole front of Toad Hall, glowing in the evening sunshine, the pigeons settling by twos and threes along the straight line of the roof; the garden, a blaze of flowers; the creek that led up to the boat-house, the little wooden bridge that crossed it; all tranquil, uninhabited, apparently waiting for his return.

- The Wind in the Willows

The vision of a home surrounded by a radiant garden captures what we aim to share through our flowers. The vast majority of Toad Hall’s flowers are selected and grown on our farm, the Four Pillars Farmstead, just 12 minutes from our downtown shop. We love working with blooms cut straight from our flower beds. By tending our gardens with care, we stay in harmony with nature, ensuring our flowers bring joy to people while also caring for the land that sustains them.

We invite you to step into a little piece of this timeless storybook magic every time you visit our shop.
